Fixing a meal
Fix anything in one sentence or one tap; your edits always win, and every change is kept.
Log first, fix later. A photo gives an estimate, so Gutlog makes fixing it as cheap as possible: one sentence to your assistant, or a tap on the meal card or the dashboard. Your edits always win over estimates, and editing is free on every plan.
In chat
Say what is wrong in your own words. For example:
- “The protein was more like 45 g.” A nutrient you set directly is locked: later re-estimates never overwrite it.
- “No cheese.” or “It was oat milk, not whole milk.” Removes or swaps an item or an ingredient.
- “Yes to the butter, no garlic.” Answers the questions about possible ingredients.
- “It was a small portion, about half.” Rescales the item and its nutrients.
- “Same as yesterday's breakfast.” Copies a meal.
- “Delete the second coffee.”
On the meal card and the dashboard
Where your assistant shows the meal card (Claude and ChatGPT both can), each ingredient is a chip with its confidence: tap to confirm or reject it. The portion has a slider and every nutrient is editable. The dashboard's Today, Diary and Review sections do the same.
Every change is kept
Each edit is stored as a correction: the value before, the value after, who made it (you, your assistant or the system) and from where. That history is what lets an agent audit your diary, and what tells us which estimates to improve.
It learns your usuals
Save a corrected meal as one of your own foods (“save this as my usual latte”) and it matches first, at high confidence, the next time. Correcting the same food the same way a few times creates one for you. No one else ever sees your foods.
Logging itself is described on logging meals.
