Privacy

What happens to your food and symptom data: never sold, never sent to analytics or ads, yours to export or delete.

What you eat and how you feel is health data. Gutlog treats it that way. This page is the short version; the consumer health data privacy policy is the full one.

What never happens

  • Your food, ingredient, symptom, score and program data is never sold.
  • It is never sent to analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our analytics see that a page was viewed or that a meal was logged, never what the meal was or how you felt.
  • Email subject lines never mention what you ate or how you feel.
  • What you type to your assistant is not stored as text unless you opt in; without it we keep only which op was called, from where and whether it worked.

Who can see it

You, and the assistants and API keys you connect. Each connection acts with your account's permissions, and an API key can be narrowed to read only, or to one part of your data. You can revoke any of them from the dashboard. Sharing with a dietitian, when it arrives, will be something you switch on per program.

Photos

Meal photos analyzed on our model are stored in a private bucket. You can delete any photo, any entry, or your whole account.

Your control

  • Export everything as documented JSON and CSV: see data and exports.
  • Delete an entry, a photo or your account at any time.
  • Unsubscribe from any email with one click, or turn off lifecycle notes and keep the weekly report.

Gutlog is for adults (18 and over) and is not medical advice.
