Pantry and expiry
Know what is in your kitchen and what is about to go off
Tell your assistant what you bought, show it the fridge or the receipt, and Gutlog keeps the inventory: where each thing is, when it expires (from USDA FoodKeeper data), what to freeze today and what you threw away this month.
Things to say
Copy one, or open it in a new chat with it already typed in. Replace the brackets with your own photo.
[a photo of your fridge] Add everything you can see to my fridge.
[a photo of the receipt] Add this shopping to my pantry.
What expires this week, and what should I freeze today?
I used 200 g of the chicken thighs and the last of the spinach in tonight's dinner.
How long does opened hummus keep in the fridge?
What did we throw out this month, and what did it cost?
How it works
What your assistant does, and what Gutlog does
- 1
You say what came in
A receipt, a barcode or a photo of the shelf. Your assistant lists what it sees; each item gets a place, a state (fresh, opened, frozen) and a date.
- 2
Expiry is estimated
From the printed date when there is one, otherwise from USDA FoodKeeper for that food, that storage and that state. Moving something to the freezer re-estimates it.
- 3
You use it up
Food you cook leaves the pantry (and can go on the shopping list); food you throw out is counted, with its cost when the price is known.
Under the hood
The tools your assistant calls
You never say their names. Each one is also a REST call, a CLI command and an SDK method.
